Legends Of Croquet was my personal project for the first semester of my course, and the game I used to learn Unity and C# programming. It’s not much of a looker, I’ll admit, but works pretty well. In two-player local multiplayer, players play the classic game of Croquet, using simple mouse controls to fire balls against each other and through hoops, with the winner going through all hoops and hitting a final peg to win. Inspired by the wacky croquet of Alice In Wonderland and the world series croquet in Jasper Fforde’s Thursday Next series, I added obstacles like water (which resets balls) and flowerbeds (which slow and obscure balls).
I want to return to this, when time permits, but for now am happy to look on it as a learning experience more than anything else.
